In the fourth quarter of 2020, the cryptocurrency app landscape on Android devices in Europe saw varying trends in user engagement and downloads. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a closer look at how these apps performed during this period.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto showed a significant upward trend in downloads, starting from approximately 15K in late September to a peak of nearly 96K at the end of December. Weekly active users also saw a steady increase from around 555K to 869K by the close of the quarter.

Crypto.com-Buy Bitcoin,ETH,SOL experienced fluctuations in downloads, initially decreasing from 32K to around 25K in November, before climbing to approximately 44K by the end of December. The app's active users grew modestly from 245K to 315K over the same period.

The trend for Coinbase: Buy Bitcoin & Ether was somewhat similar to Binance, with downloads rising from 16K to over 64K. Weekly active users increased from 625K to nearly 795K, indicating a strong quarter for the app.

BRD Bitcoin Wallet Bitcoin BTC saw a less consistent pattern in downloads, with a notable drop to around 1K in early November, but a recovery to 25K by the year's end. Active users showed more stability, ending the quarter at a slightly lower figure of 71K compared to the starting 40K.

Lastly, Trust: Crypto & Bitcoin Wallet began the quarter with 9K downloads, dipped to 6K in early November, and experienced a surge to 52K in the third week of December. Weekly active users demonstrated growth from 101K to 168K.
